HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
I know I posted the Spending Fast week 1 recap a little late last week. I had a rough week and didn't get to it until the end. So, this is the official recap for week 2.
Week two was good and bad. I wasn't feeling great so I stayed home a lot. Which is good, it's hard to spend money if you don't leave the house. I also went to the doctor and payed a $20 copay, so there's that. And while I was at the doctor Jason took Calder out to McDonalds. They get such small amounts of time together these days I think it was worth breaking the Spending Fast for. I'm sure they would agree.
At the grocery store I spent $50.86. Since I had roll-over from last week, it worked out fine. I hurried through and didn't add up as I went, so I was sure it would be more than that, so that's good.
Okay, tell me about your second week of the Spending Fast!

Okay, I guess I put my week 2 in the wrong post, but to even my surprise, I made it through the weekend, eating-out free. I'm so proud.
Sorry you weren't feeling well. That's never fun. And I would definitely have gone out for that! Well done!
Cami,I think is was totally acceptable that Calder and Jason had McDonalds together. It would have been sad if they had foregone the rare opportunity. And I certainly think medical expenses are absolutely not part of the spending fast.I did well the first two weeks and started this week with an accumulated $3.50 carry over. THE WHEELS FELL OFF THE BUS TODAY. I guess I should go back to yesterday first. Some friends invited me to see The Kings Speech and I went and rationalized that I would take the cost of the movie, $7 off this weeks budget although I know that entertainment is not really allowed. And then today I had to go to Pendleton to help Wendi straighten out her SSI issues and we ended up grabbing lunch in the middle of it. THEN, I came back to town and took Joyce out for ice cream and a ride for Valentines day. And yes, I ate ice cream too. The only way I can think of the vindicate myself is to extend the fast to Mar. 3.
