I'm so proud of Jason! He just found out last night that he will be the Book Review Editor on The University of Chicago Law Review Board for the next year. He is so awesome! It's actually a great position for him (in my opinion) and hopefully it will be fun for him.

Jason's Teacher
So, I had the weirdest conversation with a patient the other day.
Patient: So, if I remember correctly, when I was here last year you told me your husband is in law school.
Me: Yeah he is. I'm impressed you remember.
Patient: How is he liking it?
Me: Oh he loves it. He works really hard but likes most of his classes. He's been getting really good grades too. Law school is a really great fit for him.
Patient: So, what class isn't he enjoying?
Me: It's this class called Microsoft Lab where they do projects for Microsoft. It's a new class and I think they're just having a hard time getting things rolling.
Patient: Where is your husband going to school?
Me: The University of Chicago.
Patient: Oh I teach there.
I immediately started running through everything we've talked about making sure I didn't say anything awful and inappropriate. So, then I said: That's great! What do you teach. (Please please don't say Microsoft Lab).
I can't actually put his response on here because of HIPAA, but it is not Microsoft Lab. Thank heavens. Jason is actually in one of his classes, which made me immediately regret my grades comment. Then he sweetly invited Jason and I over for a tour of his art deco condo building. Awkward to say the least, but sweet non the less.

San Diego Bound
I am so excited. We are going to San Diego next summer. Jason accepted an internship with Fish and Richardson. It will be great. I love SD and can totally see myself living there forever. I don't enjoy winter and feel it would be perfect to live somewhere that doesn't get very cold.
Eye Physicians & Surgeons of Chicago (my work) has been so accomodating. They are going to give me six weeks off next summer to enjoy SD. It will be awesome. Deebo and I will just bask in the sun for six long, glorious weeks. I will do crafty things, read a lot and take surfing lessons. I'm not kidding, Fish and Richardson provides them for their interns and wives. Unfortunately Deebo doesn't like water, but if he did he would totally be out there too.
It will be so nice to live by family. Jason's sister Karen and her family live there. They have a 2.5 year old daughter Ella. She is fantastic and I'm certainly her favorite aunt.
