Archer

Most of Calder's friends are older than he is. It just worked out that way. Calder does have a good friend named Archer who is quite a bit younger than him. It is so special for me to see him share and help a younger, smaller friend.

He likes to bring him toys, his binky and his sippy cup. I love it.

Jason turns 28!

Due to the timing of my brother Cody's wedding reception, Calder and I were in Oregon for Jason's birthday. It turned out to be okay because Jason had a lot of work to do that week. We celebrated when we got home.

Jason has had cherry chip cake with cherry frosting for as long as he has chosen his cake. This is not an easy cake mix and frosting set to find. In fact, I couldn't find them in Chicago or Columbus. My mom buys them and sends them to me. Honesty, it's not my favorite kind of cake, but Calder and Jason sure seem to enjoy it.

One of Calder's new words this month: FROSTING.

Oregon January 2010

Calder and I went to Oregon for my brother's wedding reception. Oddly enough, I didn't get a picture of him, or his wife for that matter. In fact, the only time I got the camera out the whole trip was when we went bowling with my brother Jayme and my sister Meagan and her family. All well. Here they are.

Calder and I waiting for his ball to get to the end of the lane.
Calder carrying his ball. He can actually carry it by himself but I don't want him to drop it on his bare foot.
My brother in law Mike and my niece Anessa. Don't you love her skirt? (I made it)
An action shot of Calder and I bowling. I don't think I've ever seen anything so graceful.

Totally Blog Worthy

Some of you may not think this is blog worthy but let me tell you, it is. Calder had a babysitter tonight. He didn't cry hysterically and act like he was going to throw up. Yeah, he asked for me and fussed a little but I feel like it was a success. I feel like a whole new world has opened up to me. I CAN do a babysit exchange so I can go to the temple during the day. I CAN go on dates regularly with my hubby. I'm so excited!
