We're Expecting

Yes, I am indeed pregnant! Our due date is October 20! I'm 12 weeks at this point and have had a pretty easy pregnancy so far. I've been really tired and had occasional bouts of heartburn after eating red sauce right before bed but otherwise have made it out of the first trimester unharmed. Oh, I also don't crave sweets like I did before. I still crave baking. I don't think that bothers Jason at all.

We call our child Baby Ems. Ems is short for embryo. We intend to call it that until October 20. Then, who knows, we'll probably pick a new name for it.

We have had two ultrasounds and Baby Ems is doing very well. At the last one it was so cute! It was flipping around waving it's arms. It even kicked it's legs and waved. The doctor suggested we rest up because this is one active baby.

Wahooo! Congratulations you two! This is why I check your blog compulsively. It's moments like this that blogging pays off :) I am so happy for you two. I'm predicting that it will be a girl. Or maybe God will send you a boy to really challenge you with your baby clothes creations.

Congratulations Cami & Jason! Oh I bet your mommy is so happy! Because grandchildren are just the BEST. I love all your stories- esp. the one about the conversation with the guy and law school! How small the world is. Are you still going to San Diego? Love, Aunt Barbara

I do this all the time-- I write a comment and tell the computer to publish it and it disapears.....I have done it to Erin several times and half the time it does not take my password or I cannot remember what I chose...

Anyway--again---

Congratulations!!!! We are thrilled for you both. Parenthood is great but being Grandparents is the BEST. I know your mom is so happy! I love your stories, esp. the one about the conversation at your work about Jason and law school--it is such a small world. Your dog sounds fun! We had a dog once, we found out really quick that we are terrible dog people. He chased our car everytime we left, we tied him up over and over and he chewed or dug his way out of the back yard and chewed his rope. Then we got a metal chain and she would sulk and cry so much we would undo her. Like I said --we are terrible dog people. It was Eric's dog. Let it be a lesson to anyone looking for a dog. Do not let your son bring one home from his friends house, begging- only to find out later that the friend lived on a farm and the dog had never been tied/chained up... Love you! Aunt Barbara
