I'm sure you can all guess from the pictures that Calder chose to be James Madison for Halloween this year! Actually Jason and I knew this was probably the only year we could have total control over the costume so we went all out.

I had a blast making the costume. It wasn't hard at all. It did take a lot of time though. I especially love the wig. Calder didn't mind it at all. He kept it on the whole time.

We went trick or treating at Jason's office. It was so fun to see Calder's enthusiasm. Instead of candy he received matchbox cars. He got to knock on everyone's doors (there's only 6 employees) and they each handed him a car.

He loves his trick or treat bag. He wears it around the house and collects his toys in it.

Adorable! Cami, you are so creative and talented.
The costume is amazing!! You are amazing!!! I need a hard copy or a cd with the picture so I can share it with all my friends and frame it.
He is so cute as a little James Madison! You are so talented! We bought we would be moving this weekend so no costume for Kinsley. There's always next year :)
Wow, you are amazing! That costume is the best. I bet all of Jason's co-workers loved it. So fun!
Wow, that is awesome!!! Good for you to make Calder's costume, and such a cute and original and detailed one at that! I tell myself I'd like to make halloween costumes one year, but in reality I bet that will never happen. :)
The costume is just as cute as I imagined it would be. As is Calder in it. :) Glad you guys had fun!
How cute! Good idea to dress him up how you want now - you won't have much say in picking his costume later. He sure has an adorable smile!
Woops, that was supposed to be from Catherine :)
That is absolutely to die for cute! The first picture especially cracks me up. Love it!
I love that costume! Calder is so cute he can pull off an old man costume really well! Really the only time you get to be creative with their costumes is when they're little--before they want to be superheroes every year.
loved the costume!! I loved it so much I had to show Bill. He thought it was genius!
Oh Cami - no matter how hard I try I will never be able to keep up! ADORABLE costume and ADORABLE kid. Wish I could have seen it in person. I made Milo's costume too but it came out way more amateur than yours did :o) He was a lightning bug - I'll post pictures soon so you can compare and pat yourself on the back for being the unapproachable absolute queen of costume sewing! You go girl.
